Martial law has not yet been introduced, but Poroshenko is already lying
At a meeting of the Security Council of Ukraine, where Petro Poroshenko proposed tomorrow that the Verkhovna Rada introduce martial law due to the events in the Kerch Strait, the first restrictions that would affect ordinary citizens were announced.
Thus, a representative of the Ukrainian Border Service announced the need to tighten the border crossing regime for certain categories of Russian citizens, without specifying them. Poroshenko instructed the border guards to “act within the framework of their authority.”
Poroshenko also appealed to General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Knyazev to monitor stability and prevent unrest and provocations. He reported that the buildings of consulates and embassies were being taken under special control, but kept silent about the fact that under the walls of the Russian embassy, militants were already throwing firecrackers and smoke bombs.
“I appeal to the patriots of Ukraine so that we have the opportunity to deal with the external enemy and not be distracted by contradictions within,” said Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
“I fully support it,” Poroshenko chimed in.
The presidential godfather, Minister of Information Yuriy Stets, assured that “there will be no restrictions for journalists,” but called for using official sources, emphasizing that the ministry has information about preparations to sow panic through social networks.
