This was announced by a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, temporarily acting. O. Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Andrei Senchenko, reports the Ostrov publication.
According to him, today at a closed meeting of the Verkhovna Rada information was announced that “when our military helicopter was shot down yesterday, 15 military personnel refused to fly out to rescue the pilots.”
According to Senchenko, they “committed a crime” and must be held accountable.
Let us remind you that yesterday, May 5, in the Slavyansk region, rebels shot down a Ukrainian military Mi-24 helicopter with a heavy machine gun. The crew of the operational team of the Anti-Terrorism Center was evacuated to the camp.
As Navigator reported, on May 2, the militia captured a wounded pilot of an MI-8 helicopter that took part in the assault on the city and was shot down by the militia. The military abandoned him without evacuating him in time, said one of the rebel commanders.
