Donetsk, May 27 (Navigator, Mikhail Shalyapin) – In Donetsk, after yesterday’s massacre in the area of the international airport, railway station and Putilovsky Bridge, active hostilities continue: information is received about the further advance of security forces towards the city center.

At these moments, medium-intensity clashes are taking place, with the use of mortars and small arms in the area of the airport and not far from the Putilovsky Bridge.
The Ukrainian army issued an ultimatum to the Donetsk militia, demanding the liberation of the city by 12 noon, and if the conditions are not met, a full-scale cleansing of Donetsk will begin. Translated into Russian, this means that Donetsk can be renamed Grozny-1994.
If the information is true and the army begins to act in this way, then this is very bad. At the moment, most residents from the areas of hostilities have been evacuated; entrances from Kievsky Prospekt and on the street. Artemovskaya are blocked.
In the center everything is outwardly calm, people are walking along the streets, there is no panic. Apparently residents have little idea what can await them. No local information channels provide any information, for example: how to behave during bombings or shelling from grenade launchers, how to react to shootings and street battles, whether to evacuate the city. The impression is that people are left to their own devices.
As a result of yesterday's fighting on the streets of Manezhnaya, Stratonavtov, Artemovskaya, and Zhukova, the houses of local residents were completely or partially destroyed, some are still burning. According to some estimates, more than 40% of the residential area was destroyed and damaged.
Many were killed, many were injured, and currently all residents from these areas have self-evacuated.
Information about the destruction is confirmed by the residents of the destroyed houses and their relatives. Plumes of black smoke, mistakenly taken for a fire on the railway, were actually the result of the shooting of residential areas, although the Ukrainian media reported the most successful ATO, many dead “terrorists”.
At this moment there is shooting in the Kalininsky district. In the area of school No. 96, mattresses were carried, which may indicate a large number of wounded. There are also a lot of aircraft in the sky, which have not yet opened fire, but their presence has a depressing effect.
Residents of the city center have reported that they can hear short bursts of machine gun fire and sirens from ambulances.
As Navigator reported, yesterday in Donetsk, a full-fledged anti-terrorist operation began at the airport. Today the fighting continues. “The ATO in Donetsk will continue until all the terrorists are destroyed or until they surrender,” said ATO press officer Alexey Dmitrashkovsky.
