The military is preparing a corridor that will cut off Ukraine from the sea – data from Moldova
The army of Transnistria is preparing for military operations - both against Moldova and against Ukraine.
This was stated in an interview with the Ukrainian website Defense Express by Rosian Vasiloi, who led the Moldovan border police in the pro-Western government of Maia Sandu, which was dismissed at the end of last year.
He claims that there is a real threat of hostilities starting “on command from Moscow.”
Allegedly, according to the first scenario, a 7-strong group will try to cut off Moldova from the Danube Delta.
According to the second, he will take part in the operation to create a corridor between Transnistria, the “temporarily occupied Crimea” and Donbass along the Black and Azov Seas.
“In 2016, only 48 exercises were held in Pridnestrovie, but as of April 2020, we already have 182 events, of which 65 are classic military exercises. And, most importantly, all this happens in accordance with directives that are approved at the level of the Western Military District of the Russian Federation.
In general, there are no separate military formations of the so-called PMR and Russian units. There are only occupation troops. All exercises, which are conducted by the so-called Ministry of Defense of the PMR, are carried out under the strict control of the headquarters of the Operational Group of Russian Forces in Transnistria,” Vasiloy said.
