The military can take power in Ukraine using uncivilized methods - Karasev
In war conditions, when the country is disorganized, the military party remains the only organized force.
Director of the Institute of Global Strategies Vadim Karasev said this on air on the Politeka YouTube channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today we have no business, no middle class, because business today is standing still. And the only political class that can be formed under these conditions can be the military. What is the military? The military is organization and strength.
Why in Africa or some underdeveloped countries, states, often the military came to power, coups. Because it is the only organized force. Because political civil subjects are unorganized. And when we have a war today, and there has been disorganization of society and the state under these conditions and reorganization on other grounds, the military can constitute a political subject and a new ruling class. The military class and the so-called new military aristocracy,” Karasev reasoned.
When asked whether the West can rely on a political party of the military and rule through the military, the expert noted that this is a completely realistic scenario.
“Maybe if they see that only the military can maintain stability in the country, but politicians are unable to do so due to corruption, organizational inability, and lack of organizational resources. Because the party is an organizational resource, organizational capital, through the party you rule, you give ideology, programs, electoral mobility, support. What if this doesn’t happen after the war?..
So, the army, in a political vacuum, becomes the only organizational force. This could go according to the civilizational scenario, or it could go according to the uncivilized scenario,” the political scientist added.
