This is stated in the appeal of the Odessa regional organization VO "Freedom", sent to the acting. mayor Oleg Bryndak and chairman of the regional state administration Vladimir Nemirovsky, reports the publication “Reporter. Odessa".
Officials are being demanded to immediately allocate apartments for junior and mid-level officers of the flagship of the Ukrainian Navy, frigate Getman Sahaidachny, which is based in Practical Harbor on the territory of military unit A2238.
Svoboda motivates the need for this decision by the fact that military personnel will better defend their homeland if their families are provided with everything they need.
“To solve the problems of providing housing for junior and mid-level officers of the frigate, 35 apartments are needed. For the city and region, which are among the most economically developed in the state, such a number is not large,” says the Svoboda members’ appeal.
As reported by the Southern Territorial Command, military units in Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson and Zaporozhye were replenished with 560 military personnel from Crimea. 101 people from the Crimean Peninsula were transferred to Odessa itself.
