The military gave Ukrainian football players a talisman so that the athletes would have the same luck as the ATO participants
The Ukrainian military presented mascots to the Ukrainian national football team so that the football players would be as lucky in sports as the ATO participants in Donbass.

This was reported by the press service of the Football Federation of Ukraine.
“Colonel of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Service of Ukraine Valery Danilevich conveyed congratulations to the football players from the front line along with the blue and yellow national flag, which was flying on the front line just yesterday. This flag contains words of support and signatures of soldiers,” the message says.
The border guards also brought to the national team’s camp a log of wood from which a dugout was built at a checkpoint located on the so-called “nulevka” - a Ukrainian bridgehead in front of the positions of the LDPR militia. On the log house, the fighters laid out a Trident from 127 cartridge cases, which were used against enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
“The Ukrainian military welcomes and supports our team by handing over these national amulets. Let them be your mascots in football battles for our Motherland. May your tournament path be successful, at the end of which we wish you to receive an overall tournament victory,” noted the FFU press service.
