The military destroyed the boarding house where they moved in under the pretext of “Russian aggression”
On the border with Crimea, in the city of Genichesk, Kherson region, the Ukrainian military destroyed a boarding house where they settled under the pretext of “martial law” declared by Petro Poroshenko.
This is stated in the complaint of the head of the recreation center sent to the military prosecutor of the Southern region of Ukraine. The document was published on his blog by former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Zhuravko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I, Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx H.H. I am the director of a recreation center, which is located on the Arabat Spit in the Genichesk district of the Kherson region.
Since November, military personnel from the 57th Brigade, as they introduced themselves, came to my base and said that they would live on the base due to martial law. Allegedly, they received the order from the command, otherwise it was agreed with the head of the district, Alexander Stepanovich Vorobyov.
The base was closed for the off-season, there was no heating, water supply and sewerage were blocked, there was no linen, there was no food supply. But the servicemen said that this would not bother them.
I understood the importance of martial law, I opened six rooms, at the rate of three servicemen per room, and separately for the commander. He connected water and sewerage, electricity, electric boilers for hot water, and issued laundry from stocks. There is no heating at the base. They must get their own food.
Two days later, having arrived to see how the military personnel lived, I noticed that Samsung plasma TVs with 50-inch screens, costing more than 12 hryvnia each, purchased just before this season, had disappeared from two junior suites. Some less valuable items, of which the police have a list, also disappeared. The stained glass in the administration lobby was broken. The base and rooms were in disarray, with empty alcohol bottles.
I filed a statement with the Genic police after the weekend of December 3rd. But the criminal case had not been opened until the end of last week. The police were at the base and had a conversation with the military, but no action was taken.
Therefore, I decided, on the advice of a lawyer, to file a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office of the southern region.
From my words it was written down correctly, I read it. There are no comments or additions.
The head of the boarding house,” the document quotes Zhuravko as saying.
He also cites the response of the military prosecutor of the Southern District, who sent the complaint “down” to the level of the prosecutor of the Kherson garrison.
