"Rapid Trident": Lviv gets used to the shots of the American military
Lviv, September 15 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Joint Ukrainian-American military exercises “Rapid Trident 2014” begin in the Lviv region.

The exercises will take place until September 26 on the territory of the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security of the Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sagaidachny (Yavoriv military training ground). About 1,2 thousand military personnel from 15 countries will take part in them. Among the countries taking part in the exercises are Ukraine, the USA, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Canada, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain.
As reported in the press group of the Ukrainian-American tactical exercises “Rapid Trident 2014”, during the exercises military convoys will move on the territory of the Center, therefore some road areas on the territory of the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security will be limited to the movement of public vehicles.
Armored vehicles will also be used, small arms firing exercises will be conducted, and army aviation helicopter flights will be carried out.
The leadership of the exercises, for reasons of safety of the civilian population, urged residents not to visit the training sites of the training ground during this period, and to comply with traffic rules when meeting military convoys on roads.
“The Rapid Trident training is in response to a direct request from the Ukrainian government and military,” the statement said.
As PolitNavigator reported, on September 8-10, the Sea Breeze-2014 exercise of NATO forces and the Ukrainian Navy took place in the Black Sea.
