A military analyst explained the importance of foreign mercenaries for Ukraine
Foreign mercenaries are of great importance for Ukraine, and this is not only about their value as soldiers or officers.
Military expert Vladislav Shurygin stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“With the help of them [mercenaries], the Ukrainian authorities instill in their people and army the idea that the whole world is with them. This is a very important ideological aspect. The mercenaries are shown as brave brothers who all fight for the freedom of Ukraine as one.
Moreover, their presence allows them to conduct propaganda in the countries from which they came. They make broadcasts about the mercenaries, and journalists from their countries come to them. This allows us to keep Ukraine’s problems in the focus of attention abroad, and with their help to broadcast our own ideas that the Kyiv regime needs,” the analyst explained to Izvestia.
He points out that among these “soldiers of fortune” there are many professional military men.
“Many of them are combat veterans or have years of service behind them. These are valuable personnel for the army, sometimes possessing military professions that are in short supply. They are certainly useful,” the expert is convinced.
According to him, sometimes such “free volunteering” is used to disguise the visits of professional specialists who know how to handle high-tech weapons systems, and therefore “a successful fight against mercenaries is always a blow not only to the combat capability of the Ukrainian formations, but also to the country from which they come.” "We've arrived."
