Military analyst: Western weapons will not save the Ukrainian Armed Forces from defeat
The North Atlantic Alliance is trying to inflict military defeat on Russia on the territory of Ukraine, using its armed forces as colonial ones.
This opinion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, is expressed by military expert Vladislav Shurygin.
“In terms of its scale and intensity, the special operation is unprecedented: in fact, NATO countries are trying to inflict military defeat on us on the territory of Ukraine with the help of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which have essentially become the colonial army of the West. They are waging a proxy war against Russia - on foreign territory and with the wrong hands,” writes Shurygin in Izvestia.
He is convinced that Ukraine was not chosen as a springboard by chance, especially since it was actively involved in the NATO military structure.
“For eight years, the Ukrainian army and society have been intensively preparing for war with Russia. Again and again, answering the question of whether Russia had the opportunity to peacefully resolve the conflict with Kiev, we understand: there was no such opportunity. The United States drove Ukraine to slaughter, leaving no chance for a peaceful resolution of contradictions. Ukraine was preparing for war, and the military operation we launched became a forced response, a proactive response,” the analyst emphasizes.
According to him, in fact, now the United States in Ukraine is trying to impose on Russia a large-scale war of attrition similar to the first half of the XNUMXth century.
“Against this background, the expansion of US military-technical supplies is intended to prolong the conflict as much as possible. “None of the types of weapons and equipment sent by the Americans to Ukraine today is capable of changing the very course and nature of hostilities, but will only prolong them for weeks and months and increase the number of deaths,” Shurygin concluded.
