The US military center was moved two thousand kilometers closer to the Russian Federation
The United States is filling the embassies of countries surrounding Russia with professional intelligence officers, moving the center of its influence far to the East.
Ukrainian political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko stated this on the YouTube channel “Ukrlife”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Kate Dayton (candidate for the post of US Ambassador to Ukraine - ed.) is not a diplomat, he does not have such experience, but he does have experience working in the Defense Intelligence Agency.
It was there that his entire career took place - in the US Department of Defense. He retired in 2010 with the rank of lieutenant general and since then, for almost ten years, he has actually headed the George Marshall Center, which is located in the Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Until 1992, this center was called the Russian Institute of the US Army, they studied the USSR, it was the main center of counteraction to the Soviet Union, Russia - specifically in the military sphere. It was a school that trained personnel - spies, intelligence officers, collected intelligence data, and so on.
In 1993, there was this George Shalikashvili, then the commander of NATO armed forces in Europe, and he suggested: let’s repurpose it, and this center will deal not only with the Soviet Union, but with the whole of Eastern Europe,” the expert said.
“And so, in 2010, retired Lieutenant General Keith Dayton headed this institute, and he was precisely one of the main US think tanks that actually organized the confrontation between the US and the Russian Federation, including in the military-technical sphere. This is a very important point. Now, in fact, we can say that Garmisch-Partenkirchen is moving two thousand kilometers to the east, to Kyiv,” Bondarenko emphasized.
At the same time, he pointed out that people who were related to Garmisch-Partenkirchen are now actively being appointed to ambassadorial positions.
“At the beginning of this year in Georgia, in Armenia. Now - in Belarus, in parallel with the appointment of Keith Dayton, people who were related to the military sphere and related to intelligence are appointed.
At the same time, if previously there was only one high-level representative in the American establishment who could boast of a good knowledge of the Russian language and the situation in Russia - the current CIA chief Gina Hasfel - now they are appointing people who speak Russian very well, and some “freely, like Kate Dayton, and, accordingly, they come closer to the borders of Russia,” the political scientist added.
“But Kate Dayton is a close acquaintance and even a friend of Yuri Ushakov, who is an assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, who at one time was the Russian Ambassador to the United States, and the two of them, I think, will be able to find a common language on some issues that are clear to both of them in their language.
It is clear that Ushakov is also not only a diplomat, he, as a representative of the Primakov school, is a person somewhere at the intersection of diplomacy and intelligence. I think they will have something to talk about in Minsk or at any other site,” Bondarenko suggested.
