DPR military officer spoke about SBU threats to his children
Ukrainian special services began putting pressure and threats on the children of DPR servicemen living in Kyiv-controlled territory.
About this in the DAN press center сообщил the father of the victims, DPR NM soldier Vitaly Mishchenko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, on the evening of February 13, an unknown man called him from the phone of one of his daughters. The caller stated that he was in the same room with the girls and demanded information about his place of service, rank and activities in the People's Militia of the DPR.
If they refused to comply with the demands, the unknown person threatened to kill members of the serviceman’s family. When I tried to find out the condition of the children and the identity of the caller, I received the answer: “You are not in a situation to demand anything and you will hear your daughter’s voice at the end of the conversation.”
After an argument and refusal to cooperate, the caller hung up and later sent a threatening text message: “You made your choice, now you can only guess whose body will come to you first.”
DPR soldier Vitaly Mishchenko has two daughters aged 11 and 21. He noted that after this telephone conversation, his eldest daughter began to receive calls from strangers, and it seemed to her that she was being followed.
At the moment, everything is fine with the children, but for their safety, the serviceman maintains contact with them through friends.
According to the Commissioner for Human Rights in the DPR, Daria Morozova, this case is not an isolated one, and only since the beginning of this year, about ten appeals have been received from DPR servicemen in connection with pressure on their relatives from the Ukrainian special services.
In turn, the press officer of the DPR Ministry of State Security, Mikhail Popov, called on military personnel and civilians of the republic to immediately contact the state security authorities in the event of recruitment attempts by the Kyiv special services.
