Kyiv, October 6 (PolitNavigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) – If Ukraine had managed to close the border with Russia, Donbass would have plunged into the most severe repressions, military expert Vladislav Shurygin said on the First TV channel.

“Kyiv is in a very difficult trap with war crimes. All these three months, Kyiv was advancing on Novorossiya, reducing its territory. But then no one in Kyiv imagined that such a colossal defeat would befall them. And now in these liberated territories we have seen what Kyiv was preparing for the entire Donbass after it closes the border.

Special status in this case would be deprivation of all rights and severe repression. For Donbass, closing the border is suicide. Therefore, as long as at least one person in Donbass can hold a weapon, he will defend the border,” Shurygin asserts.
