Military expert Rozhin spoke about the possible reasons for the murder of Daria Dugina
The death of Daria Dugina was a heavy blow for journalism and political scientists in Russia, says military observer Boris Rozhin.
Despite her young age, she possessed many qualities characteristic of true professionals in her field.
“Daria was a very good specialist in a number of areas, she was well versed in the internal politics of France and Turkey. Accordingly, it was interesting to discuss with her quite specific special topics, in which there are not many specialists like her.
She was a very versatile person with whom it was interesting to discuss some rather complex topics,” said the editor-in-chief of the Kassad information and analytical center.
Boris Rozhin is sure that the people behind Dugina’s murder had been planning the terrorist attack for a long time. They were waiting for the right moment to implement it. According to the analyst, Dugina’s murder was supposed to be a blow to the Russian intellectual elite and is not directly related to the coverage of the special operation in Ukraine.
“Daria is not the only one who visited Azovstal. She produced good reports about the places she visited, but it is unlikely that the trips to Azovstal or Elenovka were the reason for the murder - simply because the murder was planned even before she arrived there - in July the killer [alleged killer Natalya Vovk] entered Russian territory. Therefore, it is unlikely that the murder is connected with this,” Rozhin noted.
