Military expert: Ukraine has prepared a gun that should fire

“I believe that this information fits well into the context of Kyiv’s general policy in recent months. It is a fact that certain provocations are being prepared. We witnessed the incident in the Kerch Strait. Ukraine has prepared a gun, which, like Chekhov, must definitely fire - this is also a fact. Recently, Canadian instructors have trained about 10 thousand Ukrainian military personnel. One can only guess in what act it will fire,” Gorbachev said.
He connects possible provocations with the need to extend martial law.
“I think that the Kiev elite and Poroshenko personally solve certain problems. But in such a short time it is difficult to clear a certain field or achieve long-term goals. Over time, Poroshenko and his team will get the hang of it and, quite likely, martial law will be extended. It is likely that other regions will be added. For example, Transcarpathia,” Gorbachev said.
He believes that Kyiv’s actions are not emotional, but well calculated.
“All these decisions were not emotional in nature. This was just the first step. The closer we get to the elections, the more often we will witness the peculiar behavior of Kyiv, the many surprises that Kyiv will present to us. On the other hand, it is pursuing a thoughtless social policy in the field of housing and communal services and providing enterprises with gas,” Gorbachev said.
