Military expert: Zelensky has lost control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Everything is ready for war
Ukraine's transfer of army units along with supplied Western weapons to the borders with Russia and Belarus for conducting exercises is fraught with a big war.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, as stated by military expert and director of the Air Defense Forces Museum Yuri Knutov.
“The peculiarity of the exercises is that during them the troops deploy in combat formation. They can be used for both training and warfare. The experience of local conflicts after World War II shows that many of them began under the guise of exercises,” the analyst told Izvestia.
He characterizes Ukraine’s deployment of a group equipped with modern Western weapons as “extremely dangerous.”
“The worst thing is that Washington and partly Zelensky himself are interested in escalation. His rating is so low that he is not only unable to run for the next term, but perhaps even serve out this one. The likelihood of a “Maidan” on the part of Poroshenko is very high. In addition, the nationalists who form the backbone of the Ukrainian armed forces are determined to fight,” the expert notes.
According to him, Zelensky has poor control over the Ukrainian army
“Everyone has seen reports that employees treat him without due respect, at all levels. Semi-criminal elements among the Ukrainian Armed Forces and volunteer battalions can themselves provoke a conflict, even without orders from the command. Therefore, Ukraine can spark a conflict at any hour,” Knutov concluded.
