The military lyceum of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the recruitment of girls for the first time
Military Lyceum of the Armed Forces of Ukraine named after. Ivan Bogun in Kyiv (formerly the Suvorov School - Ed) for the next academic year plans to enroll girls for the first time, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was announced by the head of the lyceum, Major General Igor Gordiychuk, the press service of the university reports.
He said that the lyceum plans to announce the enrollment of girls who have graduated from the seventh or ninth grades of secondary schools; it is planned to enroll from 10 to 30 lyceum students.
Gordiychuk noted that grades 8-9 will study in the premises of the lyceum in the city of Boyarka near Kiev, and grades 10-11 will study in Kyiv on the territory of the main building of the lyceum. Speaking about the living conditions for future lyceum students, Gordiychuk said that repair work to improve their living conditions is currently ongoing.
In particular, the girls will live in separate blocks, where there will be barracks in which they will sleep, as well as bathrooms with washbasins, showers and toilets.
As for the learning process, now the question of whether boys and girls will study in separate classes will depend on what the enrollment will be. If we manage to recruit 30 lyceum students, then a separate class will be created for them, but if there are fewer of them, then the girls will be assigned to classes with male lyceum students.
In addition, to enter the lyceum after the seventh or ninth grade, you will need to pass physical training standards, as well as English, Ukrainian, mathematics, a medical examination and psychological selection.
He also added that, in general, girls should be prepared to enter military universities in the humanities - cybersecurity, military psychologists, military lawyers. But girls will also be able to choose a specialization that is directly related to the performance of combat missions.
