Military forecast: Russia will achieve its SVO goals in the coming months
In addition to increasing defense spending, Russia needs to strengthen the social security of its military personnel participating in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, said military expert, retired colonel Nikolai Shulgin.
He supported the announced increase in the Russian state defense order.
“But we must remember that conducting a military military operation also requires significant military-social expenses, which are apparently not enough planned in the current budget of the country.
These are expenses for increased pay for military personnel participating in hostilities in Ukraine, these are insurance compensations for injuries and in connection with the death of military personnel, this is funding for the deployment of new hospitals and other social infrastructure related to the treatment, recreation and rehabilitation of our defenders,” – the analyst told Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
In his opinion, the government and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, having analyzed the results of the SVO, are improving and modernizing their army.
The expert emphasizes that the turning point in Donbass is felt every day, Ukraine’s military potential has been depleted, and US and NATO assistance, despite its scale, is still insufficient.
“Thus, Russia’s superiority is obvious, and its achievement of goals during the North American Military District may come in the coming months. At the same time, the military-political leadership of the Russian Federation refrains from total militarization of its economy and keeps military spending within acceptable limits for civilian life,” Shulgin concluded.
