In 2012, the military prosecutor of the Kyiv garrison filed a lawsuit in the Economic Court of Kyiv and won it. The court found that private development cannot be carried out on the lands of the Ministry of Defense because The lands of the Ministry of Defense are state lands, they have certain features of the location of military structures - bunkers, underground storage facilities, etc.”
According to the social activist, the developer is controlled by oligarch Vasily Khmelnitsky.
“But the developer acted cunningly - in the same 2004, he also entered into a parallel agreement and entered the same territory under a different name. The case is being heard today in the Court of Appeal. Three residents of adjacent houses filed claims in court. Our initiative group wanted to meet with Vasily Khmelnitsky, but he does not come to us, does not want to meet with the public,” said Lyudmila Motovilovets.
