In the recording, Shpanko promises to restore the camp destroyed by the military.
“I apologize for yesterday’s events, I hope that you and I will serve together. Everything that we have broken a little somewhere, we will bring everything to fruition, we will do everything. Once again, I apologize for yesterday’s events,” the battalion commander said.
For their part, the Mejlis members also announced reconciliation and announced plans for Crimea.
“The incident is settled, we have no problems with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We have one goal - the return of Crimea, not just as the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, but as a Crimean Tatar national-territorial autonomy within Ukraine,” said the coordinator of the blockade of the peninsula, businessman Lenur Islyamov.
And the head of the Majlis, banned in the Russian Federation, Verkhovna Rada deputy Refat Chubarov, also announced reconciliation in his blog and said that “shady businessmen” who are trying to oust the battalion from the Kherson region are to blame for the incident:
“By 11.00, the military and police left the base of the Asker public association on Chongar: members of the Asker public association and volunteers of the formed Crimean Tatar battalion named after. Noman Celebidzhikhan returned to daily activities and ensuring the life of the deployment camp.”
