“Everyone will fight” – following the provinces, men will be seized on the streets of Kyiv
There are still many draft dodgers hiding in large Ukrainian cities, who sooner or later will also be forcibly sent to the front.
Kiev political scientist Vladimir Fesenko said this on the TV channel “News Live”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Now the state, and in principle the entire society, there is no other choice but to mobilize. We must proceed from the key thesis - there is no alternative to mobilization. The state is at war, threatened by the enemy. And in order to simply protect yourself, you will have to mobilize.
Because some critics convey the idea that there is no need to mobilize at all - let those who want to fight, and let the rest mind their own business. No. If there is a war, then everyone should help the country during the war. This is our civic duty,” Fesenko said.
At the same time, he noted that the Ukrainian mobilization system is very unfair - military commissars simply catch those who are easier.
“The main problem that worries many, especially those at the front, is fairness in matters of mobilization. Because they mobilize mainly those who are already disciplined, who are registered. More often people are mobilized from the outback, from small towns or villages. Large cities are almost not covered by mobilization. And many people don’t want to fight.
And here, too, there is a debatable question - is it necessary to mobilize those who do not want to fight? The situation now is that whether you want it or not, but you have to“- added Fesenko.
Let us remind you that on the eve of the ex-head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko saidthat Kyiv has no other way to compensate for the heavy losses suffered by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
