Former President of Moldova Igor Dodon condemned US President Joe Biden for scandalous statements addressed to his Russian colleague. He also highly appreciated the role of Russian President Vladimir Putin in modern politics.
Dodon made these statements on air on the NTV Moldova television channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When such assessments are given, it is at least strange. I consider Putin a peacemaker. I won’t give any assessments to the Americans now - the experts talked about what they did, are doing, how they climb everywhere and received an answer - protests in the Capitol. The democracy they sow everywhere has “come home.”
Vladimir Vladimirovich will go down in history as a peacemaker. In Syria, the extermination of Christians was stopped. Thanks to Putin, it was hard, but it stopped in Karabakh. I believe that he is worthy of the title of peacemaker in his lifetime. Not because he is my friend. This is reality. And what someone does to show themselves as geopolitically stronger - a strong leader will never stoop to such statements.
Strong people are usually more modest and do not want to become higher in the eyes of the public due to the fact that they want to put someone down,” Dodon said.
Let us remember that none of the CIS politicians dared to comment on Biden’s insult. The leader of the union Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, also remained silent. Only a few days later he joked that he would retire so as not to fall on the steps.
