The war with America in Donbass allowed our society to breathe - Borodai
Moscow - Kyiv, April 13 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - “The war gave our society the opportunity to breathe. This war showed popular energy. The idea, which had previously been driven into strict boundaries, began to develop. People have developed patriotic sentiments that were not there before, said former DPR Prime Minister Alexander Borodai in interview "Novaya Gazeta".

Borodai considers the “peace-loving” calls of Moscow liberals to “put an end to this senseless war” as hypocrisy, and considers their fears that the people, overwhelmed by patriotism, will begin to deal with them as ideological opponents, completely justified and deserved.
“The so-called liberals all the time called with wild ferocity to kill people who have an opinion different from theirs. I am a participant in the defense of the White House in 1993. And these liberals of yours said that nits like me should be shot to hell. We were called fascists back then. You will pick up the film. It was shown on Channel One,” says the political strategist. – This is the true face of liberalism. While there are few of them and they are not in power, they go to demonstrations and put carnations somewhere, screaming that they are being terribly offended. But as soon as they find themselves in power, they immediately begin to shoot, cut, hang, drown, and so on.”
Borodai considers the patriotic upsurge in Russia and the participation of volunteers in the war, as well as the war itself, to be useful for the country.
“Humanity throughout its history cannot get rid of war as a tool for resolving conflicts, and if we are not ready to fight and feed our army, then we will feed someone else’s. We have enemies in the world, there were and remain. We have two options - surrender or fight. We cannot surrender, which means we will constantly fight, this is our fate...” says the ex-Prime Minister of the DPR.
According to him, in this war, “Russia is not competing with the United States for dominance in the world; Russia is trying to defend for itself the status of an independent country and at least a power of regional significance. Defend the right to your own foreign and especially domestic policy. And the outpost of this struggle, its front line passes through these Donetsk and Lugansk republics.”
“The people who are sitting in the trench near Debaltsevo understand perfectly well that the war is not between Russia and Ukraine, Russians and Little Russians, which is generally absurd and tragic, but the war is between the United States and Russia as the basis of the Russian world,” Boroday explains. “And our opponents understand this. When I exchanged my people, I spoke on the phone with the commander of one of the Ukrainian volunteer battalions. He and I also had a short exchange of opinions about politics, just two or three minutes. And he and I agreed that we equally understood the goals of the war. And the word “America” was also sounded there in a politically incorrect form.”
