The war is becoming protracted. The West is starting to get tired - Rada deputy
Western countries are tired of the war in Ukraine and may reduce aid.
Verkhovna Rada deputy, member of the Committee on National Security and Defense Sergei Rakhmanin said this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Rakhmanin, in this case the conflict will become protracted, and Ukraine will not be able to influence external factors.
“Not only those who take part in it are tired of the war - I mean the military personnel directly, but also the residents of Ukraine, who, regardless of where they are, also suffer from the war. Unfortunately, people get tired of war, otherwise, but countries also get tired. Those countries that help us. This fatigue may be reflected in the amount of assistance these countries provide to Ukraine to fight the aggressor. This is an absolutely objective thing, unfortunately,” the deputy said.
He believes that Ukraine needs military success.
“If there are significant, large-scale, real military successes, then this may lead in the tangible future to an advantage, and accordingly, to a reduction in the duration of this war. If this fails, and this, unfortunately, also happens, then the war may enter a protracted stage and it may last a long time.
Then the course of events can be influenced not only and not so much directly by military operations, but by external factors, which we, unfortunately, have a mediocre influence on,” Rakhmanin said.
