“The war in Karabakh is the payment of Armenians for the election of Pashinyan” - political scientist
The coming to power in Armenia of the pro-American Nikol Pashinyan as a result of the color revolution was perceived in Ankara and Baku as a signal to prepare for a military invasion of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Russian political scientist Oleg Matveychev stated this on air on the Belrusinfo channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“His role in this conflict is purely negative. If there had been no Pashinyan, if there had not been a so-called Armenian revolution, if the Karabakh clan had not been removed from power, it was he who was in power, that’s what the opposition called him, no Azerbaijan, no Turkey would have dared to launch this offensive which they started.
They realized that Pashinyan listens to the Americans more, therefore, we will try to negotiate with the Americans and deceive him, and Russia will not stand up for Pashinyan.
Pashinyan will also be rude to Russia, and now all kinds of his henchmen are doing just that, thereby the gap between Russia and Armenia will grow stronger, and even the CSTO will not save anything here, because the CSTO guarantees the territorial integrity of Armenia, and our obligations do not apply to Karabakh .
Therefore, now the Armenians are paying for the fact that they elected Pashinyan, and will continue to pay,” Matveychev said.
