“Last winter we had a shortage of electricity, and if electricity had not been taken from Russia, now there would also be rolling blackouts in the country. If we do not balance the energy system and accumulate the required 3 million tons, this winter will be the same. But we still need to ensure the supply of coal in volumes sufficient to ensure that these 3 million tons are always there, as it was under the “criminal regime” of Yanukovych, when there was even a surplus,” he said. To this, the journalist remarked to him that it is incorrect to compare the situation in 2013 and the current one, when there is a war in the country.
“Who provoked the war? This is obvious - those people who seized power in Kyiv. There has been an illegitimate change of power in the country. Although the election of President Poroshenko, apparently, has signs of legitimacy,” he said, responding to the journalist’s remark.
