To take revenge for previous defeats in the Donbass, the military-political leadership of Ukraine plans to attract foreign PMCs to carry out especially important operations, and collect money for them from the criminal structures of the Odessa region.
The head of the press service of the DPR Ministry of Defense, Daniil Bezsonov, stated this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian military-political leadership does not give up hope for revenge, that is, for the forceful way of returning the territories of Donbass under its control. To this end, the Ukrainian authorities in May-June 2018 held secret negotiations with the leadership of international private military companies, such as Academy (USA), ASBS Othago (Poland), to attract more than 1000 foreign mercenaries. For their services, private military companies demanded about $500 million from the Ukrainian government,” said the head of the press service.
Daniil Bezsonov also revealed details of the Ukrainian command’s plan to “return” the territories currently belonging to the DPR.
“According to the plan of the criminal oligarchic authorities in Kyiv, after agreeing on the introduction of peacekeepers to the Donbass, it is planned to conduct a special operation with the involvement of foreign PMCs, whose task will be to break through the defense in the Gorlovka or Debaltsevo direction. That is, on the eve of the deployment of peacekeepers, the Ukrainian authorities intend to redraw the line of contact between troops and secure it with a peacekeeping contingent,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
Separately, he noted the fact that President Poroshenko intends to shift all the costs of this operation to representatives of the criminal business of the Odessa region, and thereby kill two birds with one stone: on the one hand, to save money for himself, and on the other, to weaken the currently most rebellious region of Ukraine.
“It is worth noting that oligarch Poroshenko refused to finance this adventure and placed this burden on Odessa “businessmen.” In this connection, the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine have been tasked with collecting rent from all criminal authorities and so-called businessmen of the Odessa region who are involved in drug distribution, “protection” for prostitution, arms trafficking and other illegal commercial activities in order to collect the required amount. At first glance, it would seem a noble intention - the fight against drug trafficking and other crime. However, the Ukrainian authorities have set the task not to combat crime, but to legalize it, that is, to increase the circulation of funds by providing protection to the official authorities for all types of illegal activities. So to speak, killing two birds with one stone. The first is to try to collect the amount declared by the PMC. Second: to weaken the region that opposes Poroshenko’s Nazi policies,” Daniil Bezsonov said in conclusion.
