Wars of the oligarchs. The six-month truce between Kolomoisky and Poroshenko has ended
The example of President Poroshenko shows that in Ukraine it is dangerous to become the “king of the hill”, since in this case almost everyone unites against you, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

The publication notes that the Ukrainian president has generally managed to gather powers and leverage in his hands, as evidenced by the judicial reform, which effectively subordinated this branch of power to the president.
“But along the way, he quarreled with the same Kolomoisky - their six-month truce ended, which is confirmed by criminal cases against businessmen close to the oligarch, and his retaliatory claims for billions of dollars are already against the state, the publication points out. – At the same time, fermentation began in the presidential faction, relations with the mayor of Kyiv Klitschko cooled, and Tymoshenko and Lyashko simply declared war on him. All this only confirms the thesis that in Ukraine it is dangerous to become a “king of the hill” or a hetman - everyone else will unite against you.”
As a result, the newspaper writes, when the time came, not in words, but in deeds, to engage in a peaceful settlement, as is demanded even in the West, Poroshenko “had neither anything left to pay for the parliamentary majority, nor the opportunity to use the received power without the risk of destroying the entire political structure along with its own business strategy.”
“What remains is nationalism and Russophobia, which have taken pathological forms unprecedented even in the EU, Bandera Avenue in Kyiv and “motivating” publications in the Western press, which already bluntly call him the main corrupt official of Ukraine,” RG summarizes. “In this situation, President Poroshenko can only lie and wait for Western partners to give him a helping hand. But the resource of support for Kyiv in the disinterested “civilized world” is clearly drying up, irritation is growing, and no one is going to rewrite the Minsk agreements approved by the UN Security Council at the behest of Poroshenko.”
