The constructive rhetoric on the Minsk agreements coming from the new government of Ukraine remains at the level of oral statements.
The head of the international committee of the State Duma, Leonid Slutsky, stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for the format itself, it will continue to exist. The question is how much Kyiv will treat him with respect and fulfill the agreements. Let's remember how the main requirement of the Minsk agreements - the withdrawal of heavy weapons - was fulfilled by our Kyiv partners, or rather, was not fulfilled, how many desperate situations there were when it seemed like everything was about to happen, they were withdrawn - then the heavy weapons were moved back at night.
As for the situation in the region, it is still bleeding. These shells with the inscription “Children of Donbass”, everything else from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, all this continues, despite the fact that Ukraine has a different president, very constructive rhetoric sounds to our ears, but nothing moves further. What they tell us: “We will free people”, “We will fulfill the Minsk agreements”, unfortunately, remains at the level of oral statements, but completely opposite things are happening,” said Slutsky.
