Volga: Bandera members do not have the right to call themselves “patriots of Ukraine” (VIDEO)
Kyiv, March 19 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The Ukrainian left is convinced that the nationalist parties of Ukraine do not have the right to be called “patriotic”.
This opinion was voiced by the leader of the Ukrainian party “Union of Left Forces” Vasily Volga at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, according to whom it is necessary to “expand and break down” the concept of “national patriotism”.

“For a long time, these two opposing concepts - nationalism and patriotism - were mixed into a single whole, and as a result they got such a phenomenon as national patriotism,” the politician believes. “It’s really like mixing oil and water.” The essence of nationalism is protecting the interests of the nation. The essence of patriotism is protecting the interests of the state and one’s homeland.
Why is this necessary? Because the measures that the left is now ready to offer to the people of Ukraine must have a very powerful patriotic basis.”
