Volodin refused Zhirinovsky, who begged for a state prize
LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky hinted that he should be nominated for a state award for active propaganda in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic.
He stated this today in the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Maybe we should nominate those who took part in the creation and promotion of the vaccine for a state award. Including one of the deputies who has been trumpeting on all programs for six months: wear masks. This makes a huge difference. Let me be shown every day, and there will be queues for the vaccine,” Zhirinovsky said.
Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin supported the deputy’s proposal only in the first part.
“As for awards, we need, of course, to support Vladimir Volfovich’s proposal regarding the presentation of awards to those who participated in the development of the vaccine. And the deputies will be voted on by voters during the election campaign in September. The one who worked well will certainly be elected for the next term,” Volodin replied.
