A well-known volunteer of the so-called “ATO” Roman Donik wrote about this on his blog, commenting on yesterday’s parade in Kyiv with the participation of NATO soldiers, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I’m a bore, so you can’t take me to the parade with bare emotions. He especially looked at the guests who took part in the parade. We passed nearby. I can say one thing - our uniform, shoes and equipment are not inferior. Perhaps there are some questions about the composition of the fabric and some constructive comments. But basically the level is not lower. And in some cases even higher. And by the way, the Canadians did not have the same shoes. Even the color was different.
At the president’s reception, the invited National Guard officers were all wearing summer “Talans”. True, the color is not like the VSUsh ones. So soon the National Guard will not be wearing tarpaulin boots,” he wrote.
At the same time, the volunteer was outraged by the fact that he saw the new type of medals for participation in the ATO only on officers, and not on ordinary soldiers.
“The ointment is not without its ointment. On some officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (majors and above) at the presidential reception I saw the new type of insignia “For participation in the anti-terrorist operation.” But I’ve never seen anything like this on soldiers and sergeants. Probably, by mistake they started issuing money from the wrong place. Or they gave me a test.”
