The volunteer who brought an RPG to the school “for the museum” is excused from responsibility for the deaths and injuries of teachers
No one has yet been punished for the explosion that occurred at Repkinskaya secondary school No. 2 in the Chernihiv region back in February. Detained volunteer, member of the “Self-Defense of Chernihiv Region” Vitaly Kurach, who brought three shells from an RPG-18 anti-tank grenade launcher from the ATO zone and “with the best intentions” donated the weapon to local schools, has been in a pre-trial detention center for six months, reports the local TV channel “ Ditinets."

As a result of the explosion of the “fly”, which a volunteer handed over to the school museum, the caretaker, 33-year-old Galina Shlyagun, died, and 53-year-old teacher Marina Terebun and 45-year-old librarian Alla Revenok were injured (shrapnel wounds to the legs, an open fracture of the patella, as well as shrapnel wounds of the face). The husband of the deceased suffered a closed craniocerebral injury, and his 10-year-old son was left without a mother.
However, the prosecutor's office changed the charge against Vitaly Kurach: now the volunteer is not charged with murder by negligence, but with improper storage of ammunition. Considering that Kurach’s “brothers” have been actively petitioning for Kurach since the spring, his “open lessons” at the Repkin school may generally go unpunished.
