Contrary to propaganda: Kyiv in the Donbass has lost dozens of important scientific institutions
Official propaganda in Kyiv habitually presented Donbass as a depressed region with a poorly educated population. However, in reality, the loss of Donetsk and Lugansk, in addition to industry, deprives Ukraine of dozens of important scientific institutions that will now work to strengthen the statehood and economy of the LDPR.
About it political scientist Denis Denisov reflects on the pages of the newspaper “Arguments and Facts”.

“Since 1991, the politicians who came to power in Kyiv have purposefully and systematically propagated the idea that the country’s intellectual elite is all concentrated in the western regions, while the South-East is home to mostly uneducated hard workers. But if you look at the number of research institutes, universities and institutes in 1991, the situation is exactly the opposite.
It is in the Donbass and other regions of the South-East of Ukraine that the few production facilities and research institutes that work in the high-tech area and are able to compete with the best world analogues were and are located.” – writes the expert.
“Despite three years of war, the intellectual potential of Donbass has been largely preserved. There are dozens of research institutes, universities and institutes that can be involved in the process of creating a new economic model and train relevant specialists. There is the Donetsk Institute of Physics and Technology named after. A. A. Galkin, who works in the field of physical properties of materials under extreme conditions. The Reactiveelectron Research Institute, which is engaged in developments in the field of refractory compounds and composite materials, has been preserved. Institute of Physical-Organic Chemistry and Coal Chemistry named after. L. M. Litvinenko studies reaction mechanisms and reactivity of organic compounds. And this is only the research block,” Denisov clarifies.
