Despite Russophobia and sanctions, the West sees Russia as its partner
Despite anti-Russian sentiment in Europe, a number of Western energy firms still prefer to cooperate with Russia.
Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy Pavel Zavalny stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Take the same German companies and not only. They prefer to stay and work in our country, that is, we have created the necessary conditions for attracting investment and this work will continue. Take the same DPM stroke. Those Western companies that worked for us will participate in investment projects in order to increase their operational efficiency, and, accordingly, profits from shareholders,” Zavalny said.
Capacity supply agreements provide for an increased payment for constructed (“DCS”) or modernized (“DCS-bar”) capacity, allowing the investor to compensate for its costs at the expense of consumers.
