Contrary to Poroshenko’s words, Ukraine continues to buy Russian gas
Poroshenko is lying to the Ukrainian people that Ukraine does not buy gas from the “aggressor.” In fact, Germany buys Russian gas, puts its own price on it, and then resells it to Kyiv, in addition imposing another tax on it and shifting additional costs of its transportation onto Ukrainian shoulders.

Gennady Ryabtsev, director of special projects of the Scientific and Technical Center "Psyche", reported this during a briefing held in Kyiv at the Glavkom press center, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“It’s no secret that we do not buy British, Norwegian or Slovak gas, we buy Russian gas in a virtual re-export mode. This is also confirmed by the claims of Naftogaz, which is fighting for recognition of re-export as such so that it can be used.
Having analyzed the chemical composition of the gas transported through the pipeline (it is not only methane, but also impurities), we can accurately determine that Ukraine still consumes gas produced in Ukraine and Russia. This gas does not come to us from a hub in Germany or anywhere else. Ukraine receives it from a pipe that goes from the Russian Federation to western Europe, and is located on the western border of our state.
This gas was bought by European operators. From a formal point of view, it is not Russian, but it is still made in Russia. We do not buy this gas from a pipe on the western border according to the formula that is proposed, we buy it in Germany, then transport it through Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and then Ukraine. Then the gas is distributed and sold to consumers with subsequent payment of taxes in full to the state. It turns out an amazing situation: we also overpay for transportation, we put all the world inflation and all the speculation in the German hub into the price of gas,” said Ryabtsev.
