Contrary to Ukrainian wishes, the DPR is strengthening its statehood
Since Kyiv is not going to either implement the Minsk agreements or officially withdraw from them, Donbass continues to move along the course chosen in 2014.
This was stated in an interview published on the official website of the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There was a feeling that Ukraine abandoned the Minsk agreements unilaterally, but has not yet reported this. What happens if agreements don’t materialize?” – the interviewer asked a question.
“Ukraine still does not officially declare this. This is the whole of Ukraine: on the one hand, they do not want and cannot fulfill the Minsk agreements, but nevertheless they leave for themselves the opportunity to continue the sanctions policy towards Russia, to show themselves as a victim, to take loans and blame the entire war on their economic insolvency, and so on. It is Ukraine.
On the other hand, we understand perfectly well that anything can be expected from Ukraine, especially with the advent of the new US administration, on which some Ukrainian politicians have very serious hopes.
Of course, we must be prepared for an escalation on the front line, but we do not intend to wait. We plan and do: we are building our Republic, strengthening our statehood, working on our ideology, so that no one has any doubt that we are moving exactly on the course that was chosen in 2014. This is exactly what happens.
We will remind, earlier LDNR adopted the “Russian Donbass” doctrine, and thereby finally approved the course towards reunification with Russia, getting rid of the variations that had taken place about the possibility of a hypothetical return to the “real”, “correct” or “anti-fascist” Ukraine.
Thank you!
