The Dutch referendum showed the real attitude of Europeans towards Ukraine. This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by Sergei Tolstov, director of the Institute of Political Analysis and International Studies.

“They are not ready to ratify the Association Agreement, despite the fact that they calmly ratified similar agreements with Moldova and Georgia. Out loud they only say that the question of the European perspective, i.e. EU membership is not worth it for the next 20-30 years. They don’t talk about the fact that such a prospect is no longer considered due to the conflict in the east and the state of the Ukrainian economy, because it will have a negative political impact, and diplomacy is a subtle art,” says the expert.
