The issue of Crimea is closed. The West is tired and demands that Poroshenko end the war
Kyiv, October 17 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The world is tired of the long Ukrainian crisis, and today the topics of Crimea and Donbass are heard less and less on the international arena. Oleg Voloshin, ex-director of the information policy department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, stated this on Channel 5.

According to him, back in the spring, the Western community lived with the problems of Ukraine because they were the most pressing in the international arena. After the spread of the Ebola virus and the activation of Islamic State militants, the Ukrainian issue faded into the background.
“Today we have the Ebola virus, and this worries any European and American a hundred times more than the future of Crimea or Donbass. We have an escalated war in the Middle East, where the Americans, the British, and so on are fighting. Against all this background, it is absolutely clear that there is great fatigue from the Ukrainian crisis. It is too long and difficult, with all this, we can consider Putin a worldwide evil, but for the West it is clear that you definitely can’t come to an agreement with Ebola, and you can’t come to an agreement with the Islamists in the East either, but they agreed with Putin, and will negotiate if necessary .
Therefore, today Poroshenko is in a difficult situation, when he is being pushed from all sides to the fact that he must end this war. Even at the cost of the fact that we have actually closed the issue of Crimea, and no matter what they say, we do not really raise this issue in the international arena. During negotiations with Putin, I’m sure the word Crimea won’t even be mentioned,” Voloshin said.
