“The issue has been resolved”: after Novorossiya, Putin will go to the Baltic states and Kazakhstan - Klimkin
Russian President Vladimir Putin is preparing a hybrid invasion of the Baltic countries, and Moscow does not care at all about whose contingents are deployed on the territory of these states.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin stated this on the Espreso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Will they swallow Belarus? So the Russians already believe that Belarus is almost theirs. They do not see any achievement that Belarus will join Russia. Well, they see, perhaps, some minor achievement.
But getting some element of Novorossiya back can be sold as the restoration of the empire. To create a nationalist hangover in this Russia for a few more years,” Klimkin is indignant.
“The Russian operation will not begin with a massive invasion, it will be thought out as a story of speeches - these can be social, religious, whatever, and then - the possibility of creating a situation for the use of armed forces,” the ex-minister predicted.
He assures that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not stop at this achievement, and will annex more and more territories to Russia.
“Putin is planning a hybrid war against the Baltic countries. He will use Russian speakers – and the possibility of shaking up the situation there,” Klimkin predicts. “I see that Putin will not stop, he can organize something in the Baltic countries, he can organize something regarding Kazakhstan, he can organize something.”
“The more he sees the indecisiveness and inability of the modern West to get out of the warm bath, the more chances he will have. He understands well that American, Canadian, and German units are stationed in the Baltic countries, so he will go forward in a hybrid way,” the ex-minister reasoned.
