The issue of Ukraine can only be resolved by force - Markov
A forceful solution to the Ukraine issue is a matter of Russia’s survival in the confrontation with the West.
Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation Igor Markov stated this on the air of the Russia-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For five years now I have been a convinced supporter of the idea that the issue of Ukraine can only be resolved by force. There will be no other option. Moreover, I may not even imagine the dire economic consequences that we will receive as a result of these actions; they will be very severe. But if we don’t do this, then we will get American missiles in Kharkov, which will fly to Moscow in less than four minutes. Therefore, we have a choice - live with difficulties, or die.
Therefore, resolving the issue of Ukraine by force is a matter of our survival,” Markov concluded.
