Eight million Ukrainian families joined the ranks of the poor

More than half of the nominal population of Ukraine already lives below the poverty line. Economic expert, head of the Public Audit NGO Maxim Goldarb stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the expert, the trend is confirmed by the number of Ukrainian residents who applied for subsidies.
“Today, eight million families ran to apply for subsidies. Eight million families, and they tell us about the successes of the Groysman government and the correct course of Poroshenko. Eight million families, more than twenty million people, by and large, are poor. And add pensioners to them,” Goldarb noted.
