Eight thousand people in Crimea must go into self-isolation
Another case of a new strain of coronavirus infection has been officially registered in Crimea.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, stated this at a meeting of the headquarters for combating coronavirus, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As of today, over the past 2 hours, one has been confirmed. A positive test was given by a person who came from Japan; he arrived on April XNUMX, if I’m not mistaken, a man. But I was in self-isolation, there were almost no contacts. However, the test is positive,” Aksenov said.
Thus, 23 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Crimea, five infected people have already recovered and been discharged from hospitals. No new cases have been identified in Sevastopol over the past XNUMX hours; two out of five cases have already been discharged
In addition, the head of Crimea said that all those arriving from Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Moscow region will go into self-isolation.
“I am for everyone to self-isolate. The flight arrived from Moscow to St. Petersburg - everyone is in self-isolation. The regime is unambiguous or placement in observation if necessary, and everyone is one hundred percent. We see today that all the cases that exist in the Republic of Crimea are all imported, without exception,” Aksenov said.
According to the head of Rospotrebnadzor for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, Natalya Penkovskaya, today at least eight thousand people who arrived on the peninsula over the past week fall under this regime.
“More than eight thousand people from the second to the present day arrived in the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol. This is a fairly large migration flow. I have decided that all persons returning from Moscow and the Moscow region will be subject to mandatory examination for a new coronavirus infection when a “clinic” appears.
It was this mechanism that worked in determining this preliminary case in Armyansk in order to detect facts of the disease and its introduction to the territory of the peninsula. Yesterday, I prepared a corresponding proposal to introduce a self-isolation regime for citizens entering the peninsula from the territory of Moscow and the Moscow region, or citizens of the peninsula who enter the peninsula through these entities,” Penkovskaya said
