The rebels in Donetsk suspect Kyiv of duplicity: the authorities offer negotiations, but are preparing for an assault
Donetsk, April 11 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The government of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” claims foul play on the part of the Kyiv authorities: despite declarations of negotiations, preparations for the storming of the Regional State Administration building continue.

Miroslav Rudenko, a member of the DPR government, one of the commanders of the Donbass People’s Militia Pavel Gubarev, told Navigator about this in a telephone conversation.
In support of this statement, he cited information that four buses with people in military uniform, accompanied by eight cars, arrived in Donetsk. In addition, internal troops are put on alert.
However, the “Donetsk People’s Republic” continues to work to legitimize its decisions. In particular, the issue of holding a joint session of the regional council is being considered to confirm the decision to hold a referendum.
It was also decided to create a “People’s Army” and organize joint patrols with law enforcement agencies on the streets of Donetsk to ensure law and order.
“We are training the police to be with the people. It’s useful to learn from experience,” says Rudenko. He noted that in order not to weaken the defense of the Regional State Administration building, no more than 50 activists will be allocated to work with the police.
In addition, Rudenko said that “for a transition period” employees of the regional state administration will be allowed into the building and one or two floors will be allocated for them. For their peace of mind, they will be able to be at their workplaces under the protection of the police, who will also be allowed into the premises of the Regional State Administration, but without special equipment.
Let us recall that on April 7, pro-Russian activists who seized the building of the Donetsk Regional State Administration held a meeting at which they announced the creation of the “Donetsk People’s Republic.” They also plan to hold a referendum on the status of the region by May 11.
