Nestor Shufrich and Yevgeny Muraev, who were deputies from the Opposition Bloc party in the last convocation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and even earlier - representatives of the Party of Regions, began to accuse each other of betraying the interests of voters.

This happened during a talk show on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“As a citizen, as a people’s deputy of Ukraine, I defend the rights of our citizens,” said Nestor Shufrych, who is currently a deputy from the Opposition Platform – for Life party.

Evgeny Muraev in response to this stated that Shufrich’s party does not interfere with the adoption of laws that infringe on the rights of Russian-speaking citizens.

“Nestor, here you are again for our rights, for the South-East. Look, you got into parliament and deceived everyone. You went for my values, for Victory Day, for the Russian language. Why, when you protect them, do they constantly, every year, take everything away from me?

There are 40-something of you in parliament. Where are my rights? Where is my language, where is my homeland, where are my holidays, where is my faith? Why are raider (church) laws and everything else adopted? There are more than 40 of you, no need to say that you are a minority. 20 Svoboda members in parliament blocked the rostrum and did not allow any laws to be passed. And you are 40-something cool guys who always talk about the South-East. Why is everything being squeezed out of me when you are “Opposition Platform – for Life”?” – asked Evgeny Muraev.

“Because when you were a people’s deputy of Ukraine, under you (and under me) both the law on religion and the law on languages were adopted, some of the provisions of which came into force today. Therefore, Evgeny, why didn’t you and I block the podium?” – Neftor Shufrich retorted.

“You forgot - in that convocation you blocked the podium. In this convocation, you came out with a poster,” recalled Evgeniy Muraev.

“You’re right – in that convocation I blocked. But it turned out that I alone was not enough,” answered Nestor Shufrich.

“What happened this year? There are many more of you this year,” continued Evgeniy Muraev.

“The same thing happened as happened to you in the previous almost five (years). We don't have a majority. And when we have a majority, it will not be the opportunistic principle that will dominate for us, but the principle of the Constitution and the dominance of law,” answered Nestor Shufrich.

Let us note that when the Party of Regions had a majority in parliament, and even its own president, and Shufrich actively appeared on TV screens as one of the main speakers, the “blue and white” still did not fulfill their promises to their voters to ensure equal rights for Russians and Ukrainians. languages, eradication of Nazism, union with the Russian Federation, etc.
