This is the cultural capital: A man was stabbed to death in a mass brawl in the center of Lviv
On Student's Day, more than 20 people took part in a mass brawl in the center of the “cultural capital of Ukraine” - Lviv, not far from the famous Opera and Ballet Theater. The city court sentenced the instigators of the riots to 5 years in prison and 3 years with probation.
This is stated in the verdict published in Register of court decisions of Ukraine.
The conflict began when a group of young people who were intoxicated began to bully nearby townspeople.
During the altercation, one of the rowdies pulled out a knife and hit the man several times. The victim's spleen was damaged, as a result of which he lost 400 ml. blood.
Then the bully continued his aggressive actions and attacked another victim, stabbing him in the groin area, causing bodily harm.
Continuing their hooligan actions, the attackers, under the pretext of “let me smoke,” beat another citizen with their hands and feet, and stabbed his friend in the leg.
Returning to the beaten man, the thugs inflicted four stab wounds on him, from which the victim died at the scene.
These group hooligan actions were accompanied by obscene language and screams from the victims.
The servants of Themis, when making their decision, took into account the audacity and gravity of the crime committed and made a decision, sentencing one instigator to a real sentence, the other to 3 years with a probationary period.
