This is “independence”: How the US Embassy controls the native leaders of Ukraine
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, created as an “independent body” as part of the promised reforms after the Euromaidan, was in fact managed by a US curator and was used to put pressure on the Ukrainian leadership in order to make decisions that the Americans wanted.
Fugitive people's deputy Alexander Onishchenko said this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They had a handler there from the FBI who was stationed at the American embassy. Her name is Karen Greenway, who was directly controlled by the American State Department and who directly controlled NABU through the American Embassy and looked at which cases could be attacked and which could not.
Now she is already, as I understand it, due to the fact that there was this whole story with Paul Manafort and Ukraine’s interference in the elections of the United States, that is, she, one might say, retired or was left, her final fate is the same as and Ambassador Yovanovitch, who was also recalled,” the politician said.
According to him, American curators were quietly collecting dirt on Petro Poroshenko in case he won the presidential election.
“It became clear to me that Poroshenko is simply carrying out the will of certain individuals in America, who are satisfied with everything, his policy, roughly speaking, is external, for this they give him the preferences that he made within the country, and this is his personal enrichment, that is, At that time, these corruption schemes simply turned a blind eye to them.
They collected material there, but he was allowed to do it in the hope that if he suddenly won a second term and elections, they would have enough compromising material and materials on him through which they could manipulate him and, thereby, rule Ukraine in the direction that benefits them,” Onishchenko noted.
He added that the US task is to weaken Russia, therefore both Poroshenko and Washington were interested in continuing the massacre in Donbass and the zero result of Minsk.
“The task of the United States is to weaken Russia, that is, this war that has been going on there in Ukraine since 2014 - it was beneficial for them. It was beneficial for both America and Poroshenko: that he supported it, that they did not sit down at the negotiating table. The war could have ended at any moment; there were the Minsk agreements, there was the “Normandy format”. There was only one question: sit down at the table with Putin then, come to an agreement, sign an agreement and stop. At least stop hostilities,” summed up the fugitive people’s deputy.
