That's all: Ukraine sold unique “Kolchuga” to NATO
Ukraine transferred into private hands to the West its unique development - the Kolchuga air defense systems, which several years ago became the reason for the Americans' claims against then President Leonid Kuchma, whom Washington accused of selling the Kolchuga to Iraq.
Ex-deputy Minister of Transport of Ukraine Yevgeniy Chervonenko spoke about this on the Newsone TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“By the way, “Kolchuga”, a brilliant Ukrainian work, I talked about it. Now, unfortunately, it has been exported and belongs to private individuals, and will be developed in Europe, in NATO, and not here. Maybe, unfortunately, or maybe not, because we are “strategic partners”. In short, it will be preserved and developed further. The minimum staff has been retained,” said Chervonenko.
“Kolchuga” is a mobile long-range electronic reconnaissance station that is capable of recognizing American stealth aircraft.
