Here's a hero city for you: Odessa is lined up in a giant line at NATO ships
For former residents of Odessa, forced to leave their hometown after the tragic events of 2014, it was a shock to see recent photographs taken during the Sea Breeze exercise, when the local population lined up in huge queues to get on a tour of the arriving NATO ships.
“These photos shocked me a little. Are there so many NATO lovers in Odessa?” - Yuri Selivanov, an Odessa TV broadcaster who was forced to leave for Moscow after the Euromaidan, was surprised, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
In defense of the ignorance of Odessa residents, commentators argue that since Ukraine has almost no warships left, the arrival of modern foreign ones is a real curiosity that attracts citizens.
In addition, supposedly, there are now many visitors and students from Ukraine in Odessa, etc.
“Odessa residents love sensations. I am sure that if “Kuzya” had entered the Odessa roadstead, there would have been even more people. Especially with landing craft staffed at wartime levels. But “Kuzya” did not sail. All that remains is to go to NATO. Are there any options? – states TV journalist Maxim Ravreba.
